Arcot Cottage, Cornwall
Arcot Cottage, is a cosy 19th century traditional cornish cottage in a tucked away position close to the ancient church of St Cubert in the rural but thriving village of Cubert and situated approximately 1.5 miles from the beautiful National Trust beach at Holywell Bay.
An excellent base to explore the delights that Cornwall has to offer, you will be spoilt for choice. Visit the stunning nearby beaches at Holywell Bay, Crantock &, Porth Joke, West Pentire, for swimming, surfing and rock-pooling. Venture a little further to the renowned surfing beaches at either Newquay or Perranporth each within 5 miles.
Join the South West Coastal path for walks and take in the breathtaking scenery of the North Cornish coast. Visit Cubert Common and the Kelseys for birdwatching.
Other attractions include the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the beautiful coastal towns of Padstow & St Ives are within easy reach by car.
In the village itself there are several convenience stores, a Post Office, Fish & Chip shop, The Anvil Pub/Restaurant and the Well Cafe / Gift Shop, all within a minutes walk of the property. The famous Smugglers Den Inn and recently opened Odds restaurant are also nearby and within walking distance.
Accommodation & Facilities
The cottage has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished to a very high standard and offers comfortable accommodation for 4 people.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms each sleeping 2. The main bedroom has an exposed wooden floor, a metal bedstead of super king size and adequate storage.
The second bedroom consists of a 3ft single bed with 2ft 6 trundle bed each with luxury mattresses, the beds can be arranged to create either 2 single beds or one large double, as required. All bed linen is supplied free of charge.
Next door to the second bedroom and leading off from the landing is the family bathroom with bath and shower.
Downstairs there is one main reception room with beamed ceiling, living area with TV & DVD player with a selection of DVDs, CD radio stereo with CDs available for use. There is also a small dining area comprising of a bistro style table and 4 chairs.
The galley kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster and electric kettle, it is well stocked with matching crockery.
There is also a utility room to the end of the kitchen which houses the washing machine. This in turn leads to the downstairs WC.
Outside there is a private fully enclosed garden with lawn area, BBQ area with garden furniture, parasol and BBQ. There is a shared driveway nearby with parking for one car.
The cottage is warmed by oil fired central heating.

- The property has very steep stairs and may not be suitable for very young children or the infirm.
- Strictly No Smoking.
- Duvets, Pillows, Bed Linen & Tea Towels are all supplied free of charge.
